Assemblyman James Skoufis (D-Woodbury) has secured an $8,900 grant to fund the purchase of a new, upgraded telephone system as well as a new digital microfilm/microfiche reader and scanner for the Cornwall Public Library. The new telephone system provides updated internal communication from extension to extension; remote access; and additional lines. The new digital microfilm/microfiche reader and scanner will preserve relevant and historic documents, assist with research, and allow users to scan documents.
“Assemblyman Skoufis really has done some wonderful things for us,” said Mary Lou Carolan, Library Director. “He always delivers, is responsive and supportive, and provides our library with cutting edge technology. We are very appreciative.”
“I remain committed to assisting our local libraries,” said Assemblyman Skoufis. “They are often the center of our community and it is critically important that they have the resources to continue providing up-to-date services to the public.”
The library is so grateful to Assemblyman Skoufis and his staff for continuing to provide support to our library and its mission.
