The Cornwall Public Library Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to developing financial resources in support of Cornwall Public Library.

This provides special gifts to enhance Library programs
and services.

The Mission of the Foundation reads: “Cornwall Public Library Foundation
supports the long-range goals of Cornwall Public Library and promotes a greater awareness of the Library as a valuable asset. This mission is accomplished through fundraising, seeking major gifts, endowments, grants and bequests.”

Cornwall Public Library Foundation officers are: President, Anna Morabito Tilley; Vice President, Maryanne O’Dell; Secretary, Lucinda Poindexter, Treasurer: William Fogarty. Also serving on the Foundation board are: Kevin Brennan, Moacyr Calhelha, Mary Davis Clark, Susan Hoff, and Patricia McGuirk Larkin. Ex-officio members of the board are: Joseph Barth, president, Library Board of Trustees; Jane Harkinson, President, Friends of Cornwall Library; and Karen LaRocca-Fels, Library Director. The Foundation is also assisted by Library staff member, Beth Texter, and Library Treasurer, Karen Staples, CPA, who serves as a professional consultant.

The Foundation, Friends of Cornwall Library and the Board of Trustees are joining forces to attack the noise issue in 2013. The solution involves the use of a ‘cloud’ – not that mysterious computer server farm you’ve heard so much about, but an acoustical ceiling application that will help control and reduce the sound generated within the library building. This initiative is in direct response to comments retrieved from the Community Survey of library patrons executed in 2012.
