Alex Prizgintas, author and historian, presents a historical overview from many of America’s great Jazz artists, such as Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington. The term “Jazz Ambassadors” refers to the state-funded 1950’s program where American musicians were sent on tours behind the Iron Curtain. The cello will be the vehicle that delivers the show’s content.
