Black History Month
The 1959 Miles Davis album KIND OF BLUE is the most successful jazz recording of all time. This program features the classic music recordings Birth of the Cool, Porgy & Bess and more. Davis turbulent personal life included multiple periods of heroin addiction, pimping, a series of unsuccessful marriages and criticism of his work during the electric period.
Presenter Rick Feingold programmed the Jazz music series at the Center of Performing Arts, Penn State University.
