In order to improve patron access to content while the building is closed, the Library has added hoopla to our list of digital services. Hoopla is a groundbreaking digital media service that allows you to borrow movies, music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV. With no waiting, titles can be streamed immediately, or downloaded to phones or tablets for offline enjoyment later. There are hundreds of thousands of titles to choose from, with more being added daily.
Signing up for free access is an easy three-step process:
- Download the hoopla app on your device or go to hoopladigital.com via a browser
- Login using your library card
- Browse and instantly read, listen or watch
Borrowing privileges are currently limited to 5 titles per month per library card. However, if 5 titles are not enough, in November, they have made extra items available that don’t count toward your limit. To access these, look for items in the “Bonus Borrows” collection.
This service is only available to patrons with a Cornwall library card. Check with your local library to see if they have a Hoopla account. If you do not currently have a library card and reside in the Cornwall Central School District, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request one or visit our online form here.
The library staff are committed to helping keep the community safe and will continue to evaluate and upgrade our remote services as needed. We encourage everyone to try out hoopla and let us know what you think. Library staff are monitoring both voicemail and email; feel free to leave feedback and questions on using hoopla on our general phone, 845-534-8282, or email email@example.com.
