Did you know that the library has several Museum Passes available to Cornwall Public Library cardholders to borrow? These passes are available on a first-come first-served basis, and are available for you to borrow for free admission to the following museums and sites:

Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum
The Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum’s vision is to empower a community in which each and every child develops curiosity, confidence, and self-worth. Exhibits focus on early literacy, art, early STEM, health, and the local community. The museum provides early learners with impactful and nurturing programs and spaces that help foster imagination, creativity, socialization skills, and the ability to understand the world around them. The age range of the children served for learning is through age 12.
The one-day Library Pass allows admission to the museum for 5 people (must include at least 1 adult). Library card AND photo ID must be present when entering the museum along with the Library Pass. The Pass is valid on days/hours when the museum is open. It cannot be used for school group visits, birthday parties, group visits, or special events. It does not include additional benefits or discounts beyond free admission. The Blue Star Museum Program is available all year due to special grant support for active-duty military personnel and their families with a valid military ID. Replacement cost for lost passes is the museum’s total charge to the Library for a replacement pass. Check mhdm.org (link above) to plan your visit.
A $10/day late fee will be charged for all overdue Museum Passes.
Empire Pass
The NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation oversees more than 250 parks, historic sites, trails and more across over 360,000 acres & welcomes more than 88 million people annually. Explore the rich history and enduring significance of New York State’s people, places and communities that make the Empire State so special.
This statewide pass will allow Cornwall cardholders to check out the pass for at least 3 days to a maximum of 7 days with the understanding that it will be returned as soon as possible. Upon check out, the staff member must ask the patron for how many days up to 7 do they need the pass. This allows other library members to access the pass.
The pass must be presented upon entry to the facility and grants unlimited day-use vehicle entry to most facilities. It covers entry for all passengers in the vehicle. Without the pass, you will be required to pay the vehicle fee. The pass may not be used for entrance by multiple vehicles at one time. The pass is valid through December 31, 2026. Parking is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and does not allow for entry prior to park hours.
Replacement cost for a lost pass is the total charge to the Library for a replacement pass.
